WITCHYCOO - Terry de Havilland, London 1975

A pair of original vintage 70s block heel, platform boots crafted in black kid leather and black whipsnake.

Notably worn by Viv Albertine and features in the cover photo of her book “Clothes, Clothes, Clothes, Music, Music, Music, Boys, Boys, Boys”. The basement design studio of Terry’s London Road shoe emporium “Cobblers to the World” was a favourite hangout for musicians and punks back in the day. There was always a snifter of Courvoisier and a toke on a combustible on the go.

CRYSTAL ELVIRA – Terry and Liz de Havilland Custom Made in London 2010

    A
bespoke pair of stiletto platform, calf high boots crafted in black kid suede with Swarovski crystal detailing. Hand clicked, closed and covered by Terry with crystal detailing hand applied by Liz.

These were made for Liz to wear on the opening night of Shoes The Musical at Sadlers Wells Theatre. These are a stiletto heeled version of the block heeled platform boots that we made for the performers. The boots worn by the performers were converted into tap boots. We were so nervous when those dancers came onto the stage. How they managed to tap dance in those boots we’ll never know…
