A pair of bespoke high wedge sandals crafted in gold python with printed silk covered wedge, hand clicked, closed and covered by Terry.
These shoes were made for The Art of Love exhibition. Christian asked Terry to create something based on one of his paintings. The painting was scanned and then laser printed on silk to be used as the material for the wedge cover.

BOWIE WEDGE - Terry de Havilland in collaboration with photographer Mick Rock and design duo Steve Mosley and Dominic Willcox. Custom Made in London 2004
A pair of bespoke high platform wedge, lace up ankle boots crafted in gold kid leather, gold python with printed silk collars and wedge covers featuring the Mick Rock photographic tear art imagery of David Bowie. The leather soles are laser etched with images of Bowie’s face. Hand clicked, closed and covered by Terry.
Terry was approached by designers Steve Mosley and Dominic Willcox to produce footwear for an exhibition featuring the work of photographer Mick Rock, a project that he couldn’t resist. These boots feature Mick’s tear art images of David Bowie. The imagery was scanned by Mosley Meets Willcox and laser printed on silk to be used as the material for the wedge cover and the collars of the boot.

A pair of bespoke 5 tier platform wedge sandals crafted in gold kid leather, gold python, with printed silk vamps and sock featuring the Mick Rock photographic imagery of Debbie Harry. The soles are made of rubber and bear the imprint of Debbie Harry’s face.
As with the Bowie Boot, these were created for an exhibition featuring the work of photographer Mick Rock.
